PROPERTIES
The simpleBAU ready-to-use putty START&FINISH S1 is a ready-to-use white putty with polymer resin as a component, which ensures an excellent adhesion of the compound to the substrate, a pronounced plastic deformability and a load-compliant strength.
Die simpleBAU START&FINISH S1 Filler is ideal for manual and machine application. After application, it forms a breathable and vapour-permeable surface.
After curing, it is easy to process and retains high strength. After complete setting, a durable, compact
and stable basis.
Walls and ceilings are given a new look after the application of the simpleBAU S1 Filler creates a white surface that is easy to paint over. Guarantees an excellent end result – mirror-smooth walls and ceilings. Allows to achieve a quality level from Q2 to Q4.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
The simpleBAU START&FINISH S1 was developed to create particularly smooth and even surfaces for painting over with all types of paint or wallpapering. Well suited for repairing and filling smaller cavities.
The simpleBAU S1 filler can be used for full-surface plasterboard filling as well as plasterboard jointing with the help of reinforcing tape.
TheSimpleBAU S1 is suitable for levelling on cement, lime-cement and Plaster, plasterboard, paint coatings and brick, natural stone, d. h. suitable for porous substrates.
For indoor use, in rooms not exposed to moisture.
PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE
The substrate must be dry and stable, firmly bonded, free of dust and grease. The plasterboard should be laid in a stable manner. Highly absorbent substrates should be primed before filling with a suitable primer (simpleBAU Special Primer ULTRA or with simpleBAU Deep-penetrating, small-molecule primer).
PROCESSING
The simpleBAU START&FINISH S1 is ready for use. After opening the packaging, mix the compound thoroughly before use. Alternatively, it can be diluted with a small amount of water
(up to 1 %). Only use clean containers and tools for mixing.
Application with a trowel
Apply the filler to the substrate with a stainless steel trowel and press it to the substrate. Apply in layers of 1 mm to 3 mm until an even, smooth surface is achieved.
Do not exceed the maximum thickness of a single layer. Apply the second coat after the first has dried. The dried layer should be sanded, dusted, then primed and overpainted or wallpapered according to the paint/wallpaper manufacturer’s recommendations.
Application with a roller / mechanical methods
When applying with a roller or aggregate, smoothing must also be carried out with stainless steel tools. After drying with a fine Sponge down and smooth again with a smoothing knife to create a dust-free surface. After complete drying, the surface can be additionally sanded with a grid or sandpaper (grit 180-220). Remove sanding dust.
Jointing with reinforcing tape
With the simpleBAU START&FINISH S1 fill the gaps between the connected panels. After curing, apply a thin layer of joint filler and stick on reinforcing tape. The reinforcing tape should be pressed on so that it adheres well – repair any irregularities. Cover the surface of the reinforcing tape with a thin layer of plaster and allow to harden.
