PROPERTIES
SimpleBAU BETONKONTAKT is a highly adhesive primer for difficult substrates. It is produced on the basis of styrene-acrylic resin dispersion and quartz aggregate. Due to the content of quartz aggregate it significantly improves adhesion of subsequent layers such as tile adhesives, screeds, plasters.
SimpleBAU BETONKONTAKT reduces and levels the absorbency of the substrate, creates a layer with high adhesion. Thanks to optimal selection of aggregate grain size and proportion of aggregate and resin it spreads perfectly on the surface creating even, rough surface, thanks to which subsequent layers get high adhesion parameters.
The product is vapour-permeable, frost and water resistant. SimpleBAU BETONKONTAKT has thixotropic properties – it does not run off from vertical surfaces.
APPLICATION
SimpleBAU BETONKONTAKT is recommended for smooth concrete surfaces or non-absorbent materials such as ceramic tiles, stone, etc. The product can be used on masonry substrates, properly prepared and stabilized wood boards, wood-based boards, particle boards, OSB boards, gypsum-fibre boards, gypsum and cement boards, cellular concrete, reinforced concrete, gypsum and lime plaster, etc.
It is recommended for priming substrates under any waterproofing coatings.
SimpleBAU BETONKONTAKT can be used:
- for indoor and outdoor use
- under levelling, repair and self-levelling compounds, concrete screeds, adhesives, plasters, etc.
- for vertical and horizontal surfaces
- for underfloor heating
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The surface to be primed should be dry, cleaned of dust, dirt, oil, grease, greasy stains, old unstable paint coatings and other coatings decreasing adhesion. Any loose layers that do not properly bind with the substrate should be removed before application of the primer. Cement and gypsum substrates should be seasoned and dry.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
SimpleBAU BETONKONTAKT primer should be stirred well immediately before use until the consistency is uniform. The primer is ready to use. It should not be diluted with water or any other materials.
The preparation should be applied with a brush, a roller or by spraying evenly all over the surface. The primer should be applied at the temperature (ambient and substrate) ranging from +5°C to +25°C. Minimum drying time of one coat is 12 hours*.
Wash tools and fresh stains with water after priming. Dried stains can be removed with a solvent.
When working outdoors, protect the primed surface from sunlight, precipitation and frost.
* at 23°C, 60% relative humidity
