PROPERTIES
Simple BAU LIQUID FOIL F1– ready to use one-component liquid foil ideal for jointless sealing of substrates with high intensity of moisture.
It is produced on acrylic resin base. It hardens by evaporation of water. After drying it forms a flexible and moisture resistant coating with insulating properties. It protects the surface against harmful effects of fungi, mould, oil and grease. It has excellent adhesion to substrates and is easy to apply. It can be used in floor heating systems.
It is environmentally friendly as it does not contain solvents.
APPLICATION
SimpleBau LIQUID FOIL F1 is designed for jointless surface sealing of walls and floors under tiles and floors in rooms exposed to periodic moisture, such as: kitchens, bathrooms, showers, toilets, laundries.
It is suitable for performing anti-moisture coatings in floor heating systems.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate must be sound, even, clean, dry, free of grease, free of paint, wax and other substances that impair adhesion, and free from moisture ingress. Deep cracks and cavities (>0.5 mm) must be filled and the substrate primed with simpleBAU ULTRA specialty primer or simpleBAU Deep-penetrating fine-particle primer.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Stir the product thoroughly by hand or mechanically before use, do not dilute it.
Apply the film with a brush, a roller or a smooth steel float. It is recommended to apply the first layer with a brush. Apply minimum 2 coats. Apply the following coats after the previous one has dried out.
At the connection between the wall and the floor, at the edges, in the places of expansion joints, installation pipe penetrations, etc., the insulation should be reinforced with sealing tape, cuffs and corners.
Tape, cuffs and corners into a fresh first layer and cover with a second layer. The layers should be applied crosswise.
Apply the following coats after the previous one has dried out. Minimum drying time of each layer is 2-4 hours depending on ambient conditions. The minimum thickness of the final insulation is 1 mm. Work should be carried out at air and substrate temperatures between +5°C and +25°C. A freshly applied layer should be protected from weather conditions and moisture until it is fully cured. The final insulation layer is to be permanently covered with ceramic tiles using simpleBAU D1TE ULTRAFLEX ADHESIVE, READY TO USE.
Total curing time of the finished coat is min. 12-24h depending on ambient conditions. Low temperature and lack of proper air circulation prolong the film drying time. Start gluing ceramic cladding after the film is completely dry.
Wash tools and fresh dirt with water. Hardened mass can be removed only mechanically.
