FEATURES
Simple BAU FLÜSSIGE DICHTFOLIE F1 ULTRAFLEX – ready-to-use, single-component liquid sealing film for jointless sealing of substrates with high moisture loads.
For indoor and outdoor use.
Manufactured on an acrylic resin basis. The liquid film hardens by evaporation of water. After drying, a flexible, moisture-resistant coating with insulating properties is created. It protects surfaces from the harmful effects of mould, fungi, oils and lubricants. The product is characterised by excellent adhesion to the substrate and very good application properties. It can be used in underfloor heating systems and is environmentally friendly – contains no solvents.
APPLICATION AREA
SimpleBau F1 ULTRAFLEX is designed for jointless surface sealing of walls and floors under tiles and coverings in moisture-sensitive areas such as: Balconies, kitchens, bathrooms, showers, toilets, washrooms.
For indoor and outdoor use.
Areas of application: Gypsum fibreboard, FERMACELL Powerpanel H2O, plasterboard, plaster, porous concrete, masonry, concrete, stone, screed and heated screed.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The substrate must be load-bearing, level, clean, dry, free of grease, old paint, wax and other adhesion-inhibiting substances and protected from penetrating moisture. Deep cracks and defects (>0,5 mm) need to be filled.
Prime the substrate withsimpleBau Special Primer ULTRA or with simpleBAU Deep Penetrating Small Molecular Primer.
APPLICATION
Before application, thoroughly mix the product mechanically or by hand, do not dilute.
Apply with a trowel, roller or smooth steel trowel. It is recommended to apply the first coat with a brush. Apply at least two coats. Apply a new coat only after the previous one has dried completely.
At connections between wall and floor, at edges, expansion joints and pipe penetrations, the insulation should be additionally reinforced with sealing tapes, sleeves and corner pieces. Dip sealing tapes, sleeves and corner pieces into the fresh, first layer and cover with the next layer. Apply the layers crosswise.
Apply new coats only after the previous one has dried. The minimum drying time of each coat is 2-4 hours, depending on ambient conditions. The minimum thickness of the final insulation layer should be 1 mm. Work is carried out at an air and substrate temperature of +5°C to +25°C. The newly applied layer should be protected from direct exposure to weather and moisture until it is fully cured. The final insulation layer should be secured with a ceramic lining using the ready-to-use adhesive simpleBAU D1TE ULTRAFLEX.
Depending on the ambient conditions, the time required for the coating to cure completely is at least 12-24 hours. Low temperatures and lack of air circulation prolong the drying time of the liquid film. Ceramic coverings should only be bonded after the applied insulation has dried completely.
Rinse off tools and unwanted dirt with water.
The hardened compound can only be removed mechanically.
