PROPERTIES
Simple BAU FLÜSSIGE DICHTFOLIE F1 – Ready-to-use, one-component liquid sealing film for joint-free sealing of substrates with high moisture loads.
Made on the basis of acrylic resin. The liquid film hardens through the evaporation of water. After drying, a flexible, moisture-resistant coating with insulating properties is formed. It protects surfaces from the harmful effects of fungi, mould, oils and lubricants. The product is characterised by excellent substrate adhesion and very good application properties. It can be used in underfloor heating systems and is environmentally friendly – contains no solvents.
SCOPE OF APPLICATION
SimpleBau F1 is for the superficial, joint-free sealing of walls and substrates under tiles and floors in wet and damp rooms (kitchens, bathrooms, shower cubicles, toilets, laundry rooms).
It is suitable for the production of moisture-resistant coatings in floor heating systems.
Areas of application: Gypsum fibre boards, FERMACELL Powerpanel H2O, gypsum boards, plaster, porous concrete, masonry, concrete, stone, screed and heated screed.
PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE
The substrate must be load-bearing, even, clean, dry, free from grease, old paint, wax and other adhesion-reducing substances and protected from penetrating moisture. Deep cracks and flaws (>0,5 mm) must be backfilled.
Prime the substrate with the simpleBau special primer ULTRA or with simpleBAU Deep-penetrating, small-molecule primer.
PROCESSING
Before application, mix the product thoroughly mechanically or by hand, do not dilute.
Apply the film with a tassel, roller or smooth steel trowel. It is recommended to apply the first coat with a tassel. Apply in at least two layers. Apply a new coat only after the previous one has dried completely.
At connections between wall and floor, at edges, expansion joints
and pipe penetrations, the insulation must be additionally reinforced with sealing tapes, sleeves and corner pieces. Dip sealing tapes, collars and corner pieces into the fresh, first coat and cover with the following coat. Apply the layers crosswise.
Apply new coats only after the previous one has dried. The minimum drying time of each coat is 2-4 hours, depending on the ambient conditions. The minimum thickness of the final insulation layer should be 1 mm. The work must be carried out at an air and substrate temperature of +5°C to +25°C. The freshly applied coat must be protected from direct exposure to weather and moisture until it is fully cured. The last layer of insulation must be secured with a ceramic covering using the adhesive simpleBAU ready-to-use adhesive D1TE ULTRAFLEX.
Depending on the ambient conditions, the time required for the coating to cure completely is at least 12-24 hours. Low temperatures and lack of air circulation prolong the drying time of the liquid film. Ceramic coverings should only be bonded after the applied insulation has dried completely.
Rinse off tools and unwanted dirt with water.
The hardened compound can only be removed mechanically.
